A Long, Long Day

I am talking to myself!!!!!!!! This has been a long day. The caregiver came to work at 8 and soon after told me how tired she was and thought she was getting a cold. She was out late with her child last night and had to get him ready to hunt at 2 this morning. She later told me again she didn't feel good. Each time I ask if she needed to go home and she would tell me no. Finally at two I told her she needed to go home. So I have been caring for mother alone, worrying about my eye after the cataract surgery, knowing I shouldn't be lifting more than 25 pounds, and I am when I help mother get up. The sick caregiver called back to tell me she has streph(sp). Oh, My Goodness!!!!!! She won't be here tomorrow either so I will really have a long 10 hour day. I need to start finding someone to fill in. This sick caregiver told me she is thinking about going to school in Dallas in Feb. so she can work in a funeral home. I know someone must have something positive to share!!!!!!

Up And Going

Don't make me talk to myself or is it that you haven't tried to post yet??????? I have been up  since 2am. Mother woke up and stayed in a bad dream. She thought we were not at home, started thinking about all our loved ones that are gone, and her blood pressure was high. We should have given her a pill to bring it down, but thought it was because she had a dream. Well, this morning at 6:40 we gave her the regular bp pill and she complained of a headache. I got the bp machine and her bp was 170 over 89. So it was her bp causing her headache. We gave her a little pill that we had to bring her bp down.  She thinks we have now over medicated her and is worrying about it. It's going to be a long, long day. She went to the surgeon yesterday and when she goes out we should prepare that she is going to be wide awake most of the night. Today she gets reevaluated for therapy and she probably won't do good due to her night and they will stop. Got to go and get dressed just in case her bp goes higher. Hope to read something positive about YOU!!!!!!
Update: Mother qualified for 6 more weeks of therapy because she managed to do what she needed to do to show improvement. Yippee!!!!!

I'm thinking that this blog should just be visible to our family and I'm not exactly sure how to make it that way. Anyone know?????? I'm going to email everyone the email address that I created for this blog and the password. We'll see if it works for you too. You send the information to everyone in the family that you have an email for and let's see if we can all post when we want to.
